Evette Orams

Evette is the Managing Director of Hilton-Baird Financial Solutions Ltd and has an extensive and comprehensive background in the commercial finance sector. Having worked within a broad range of financial operations, she has built teams in operations, risk management and sales. Combining a natural personal rapport with an insightful business understanding, Evette is able to relate to the pressures commonly faced by SME owner-managers to the complex financial challenges faced by major corporate entities. Evette has strengthened the relationships with key funders, factoring companies and finance partners whilst building a highly successful commercial broker team.

Alex Hilton-Baird

Alex has built the Hilton-Baird Group and commercial broker team from a standing start and is widely acknowledged as an expert in marketing for the corporate finance sector. He has established relationships with funding partners and factoring companies across the entire corporate and commercial finance market, bringing his personal experience of financing a growing business to a wide range of new businesses. Alex has also been a key supporter of the development of factoring, invoice discounting and invoice finance throughout Central and Eastern Europe, resulting in Hilton-Baird Polska being established in 2006.

Ian Ellis

Ian brings a wealth of experience to Hilton-Baird’s commercial broker team. Having previously worked as a client manager at GE Commercial Finance for nine years and spent five years at RBS Invoice Finance prior, gaining valuable knowledge of factoring, invoice discounting and invoice finance solutions for businesses. Ian therefore has a full appreciation of the day-to-day operations and challenges of businesses of all sizes and has a wide knowledge of the various corporate and business finance facilities on the market. He has also worked within owner-managed businesses as office manager, giving him an insight into the challenges such businesses face.

Neil Galer

Prior to his current role as a commercial finance broker, Neil was a senior funding consultant and is our property funding specialist. He has been with Hilton-Baird for over two years and has three years’ prior experience within manufacturing and distribution. Before that he spent two years at management level in the regulated food sector and is a graduate in business studies. He has an excellent understanding of the issues facing growing SMEs searching for further finance for business and brings all this experience to his commercial broker position.

Martyn Price

After just two years with Hilton-Baird as a funding consultant, Martyn was promoted to a commercial broker position. His previous role gave him a strong knowledge of the market and funding challenges facing SMEs, as well as the skill of being able to identify the most suitable invoice finance, factoring and invoice discounting solution for a business. Furthermore prior to joining Hilton-Baird, he spent more than six years in personal banking and finance to give him a strong understanding of the issues facing owner-managers. Martyn is full of enthusiasm and is dedicated to making deals happen in the best interests of both the clients and funders and factoring companies.

Genevieve Williams

Genevieve is Assistant to Managing Director, Evette Orams, and provides support to the commercial broker. She previously worked for a residential mortgage broker underwriting applications for more than six years and has an extensive knowledge of the regulated lending sector. Genevieve is a graduate of French and Spanish.

Joanna Tiller

Joanna heads up our team of funding consultants and possesses an extensive knowledge of client services and finance for business. Prior to joining the Hilton-Baird’s commercial broker team, Joanna worked as a mortgage consultant and ran a team of mortgage case managers for a funder.

Ranjit Dawson

Ranjit is Deputy Team Leader to our funding consultants within our commercial broker team. Previously she worked as a manager within an insurance brokerage, closely liaising with customers and her team to ensure insurance requirements were met whilst service standards were exceeded. Through working with a range of businesses, Ranjit has gained an excellent understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by SMEs.

Phillip Pratt

Phil’s educational background lies in business studies and accountancy. He spent numerous years with British Gas dealing with business accounts, prior to which he worked within the telecoms sector. As a senior member of the commercial broker team, Phil has a gained a knowledge of what SMEs require when searching for finance for business and can expertly distinguish which form of funding solution would be best for their individual needs.

Virginia Harris

Virginia previously worked as a Customer Advisor within the energy sector. Her experience and customer service skills, along with her enthusiasm for assisting SMEs, enable her to add value to our clients and the commercial broker team.
