As a founding member and Managing Director of Hilton-Baird Collection Services, Alan brings a great deal of experience to the company having assisted businesses from a wide range of sectors with their debt collection requirements. He is widely recognised as one of the most experienced and knowledgeable industry specialists and has become a key contact for many businesses as a source of guidance over the past few years. Alan’s role within the Hilton-Baird Group is as a rapid response resource, as well as transferring his skills and experience to the rest of the Group.
As CEO of the Hilton-Baird Group and as Managing Director of Hilton-Baird Collection Services, Alex continues to play an integral role in the success of the companies he built from a standing start. His expertise within the debt recovery arena is unrivalled and his knowledge and passion for the values of the company ensures that an increasing number of businesses and funders source Hilton-Baird’s assistance with their debt collection needs.
Collections Manager
Nicola possesses extensive expertise in commercial debt collection, in particular forensic examination. She is tenacious and thorough in her approach, ensuring that she delivers the best result for the client every time. In addition, Nicola possesses 15 years experience as a financial controller and is fluent with most accounting packages. Her skills and expertise have been highly praised by the finance community.
Corporate Manager
Rob possesses extensive direct operational experience having worked for leading financial institutions including Yorkshire Bank and Skipton Building Society. In addition, with over 15 years’ managerial experience in the debt recovery and credit management field Robert has gained valuable knowledge and insight from working for leading debt recovery law firms. Robert can relate to key issues facing corporate clients, as well as offer realistic solutions that can be delivered. This experience covers the full debt cycle from pre-legal recoveries through to legal and insolvency, and relates to both the consumer and commercial debt markets.
Team Leader
Charlotte joined Hilton-Baird Collection Services from college and has developed invaluable experience over the past six years. Having continued her education and combined Asset Based Finance Association qualifications with an ICM accreditation, Charlotte has been integral to ensuring the success of a broad range of complex and challenging recoveries. With the ability to combine a professional and likeable demeanour with a tenacious approach, she is highly regarded as a skilled recovery expert and was voted Commercial Collector of the Year 2010 by Credit Today magazine.
Senior Collections Advisor
Peter joined the team with an extensive background in commercial debt collection, having managed a team focusing on recovery within the technology sector and additionally brings legal experience to the team from his time with a well-recognised legal firm. There, he managed both commercial and personal debt litigation and also has previous experience within the sub-prime personal debt recovery sector. With exceptional negotiation skills supported by a high level of professionalism, Peter has become a key member of our collections team and was awarded the title Commercial Collector of the Year 2012 by Credit Today magazine.
Collections Advisor
Charles joined Hilton-Baird Collection Services with a broad experience in the telecoms industry, where he managed large, time-critical projects as a Project Engineer. Charles brings with him strong communications and negotiations skills, as well as advanced problem-solving abilities that are essential in finding innovative debt collection solutions. With an eye for detail and a persistent approach, Charles delivers consistently exceptional results for clients.
Collections Consultant
Richard’s background as a self-employed distributor has given him a strong understanding of the challenges facing owner managers. Tasked primarily with assisting SMEs and corporates with their debt collection requirements, his natural enthusiasm for helping them to minimise the impact of late payment and bad debts allows him to add value to our clients.
SME Coordinator
Marc is an experienced collector having started his career with HSBC where he provided banking services to the high net worth client portfolio, and subsequently gained specialist recovery experience with HM Revenue & Customs. His impeccable customer service skills and extensive understanding of the recovery process makes him well placed to support the team in ensuring the specific requirements of our SME clients are fulfilled.
Office Administrators
Pauline has been with the Hilton-Baird Group for over seven years and is responsible for monitoring the company’s recovery activity, involving a wide range of reconciliation duties to ensure the accuracy of the information presented to our clients. With an exceptional eye for detail, Pauline ensures the team has the appropriate information for their cases, enabling the collections team to concentrate on getting results.
